“Discover Exoplanets: The Search for Alien Worlds” Traveling Exhibition at Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will host Discover Exoplanets: The Search for Alien Worlds, a national traveling exhibition exploring the fascinating world of space and astronomy, from November 7, 2019 to January 26, 2020. The exhibition examines the pursuit of habitable worlds beyond our solar system, how NASA scientists are searching for these worlds and how similar they are to Earth.

Discover Exoplanets: The Search for Alien Worlds features hands-on multimedia activities allowing visitors to build their own solar systems, see the most recent NASA discoveries and learn about which popular TV shows and movies feature science fact or fiction. The Queens Public Library will host a partner exhibition in the Children’s Library Discover Center and both institutions will offer a series of related programming for audiences of all ages. Individuals with library cards can gain free entrance to the Intrepid Museum by reserving through Culture Pass.

“We are proud to be one of seven sites nationwide to host this remarkable exhibition. Visitors will gain a better understanding of exoplanets and the importance of searching for evidence of life beyond our solar system,” said Elaine Charnov, senior vice president of exhibits, education and programs at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. “Our partnership with the Queens Public Library will help to bring this exhibition and the compelling programming associated with it to even more people in the community.”

This exhibition was developed by the Space Science Institute’s National Center for Interactive Learning in partnership with NASA’s Universe of Learning. This project was made possible through support from NASA, under cooperative agreement number NNX16AC65A.

Discover Exoplanets: The Search for Alien Worlds is included with the price of admission to the Museum. For more information about the exhibition and related programming, please visit www.intrepidmuseum.org.
