PSIQUE, a multidisciplinary show from Chile, comes to Brooklyn this September. PSIQUE combines live music, contemporary dance, and multimedia to create an immersive, sensory experience. The theater transforms into the universe of PSIQUE, (“psyche” in Spanish), inviting the audience to participate in a ritual that is both personal and collective: to look within. The music, composed by Rebecca Levi (US/Chile), Constanza García (Chile), and Gonzalo Cárdenas (Mexico), and accompanied by Marcelo Bellas (Chile/Uruguay), takes its inspiration from different musical roots, from the Western classical tradition to Andean flutes and Afro-Cuban percussion. Directed by Paulo Uribe (Chile).
