Isadora Goes Chelsea “Living Sculpture Gallery Performances” (Feb 13-16) – A Dance Experience Like No Other:

Experience an immersive performance merging Duncan’s timeless dance style and repertoire with Chelsea’s artistic energy. From February 13 to February 16, the Foundation will present mesmerizing “Living Sculpture Gallery Performances” that immerse audiences into Duncan's world through movement, art, ideas, and atmosphere. This unique event features dancers positioned like living sculpture who gradually animate to stunning dancing, enhanced by dramatic lighting. Framed artwork and archival photographs, video projections, curious and classic quotes by Isadora and her admirers will line the walls, enriching the immersive experience. Music by Chopin, Brahms and Gluck with be complemented with contemporary composers Brian Eno, René Aubry and Max Richter. The setting echoes the avant-garde “happenings” of mid-20th-century New York, blurring the lines between performer and audience.
