Create beautiful patterned stationery using the ancient Japanese marbling technique of suminagashi. In this soothing art form, ink is floated on the surface of water and gently blown to produce intricately swirled patterns, each as unique as a fingerprint. At this workshop, Linh Truong, interdisciplinary artist and educator, teaches traditional suminagashi techniques and offers ideas for artistic experimentation.
All materials included.
Venue Description: Tues.-Thurs., 11am-6pm; Fri., 11am-9pm; Sat. & Sun., 11am-5pm. Closed on Mon. & major holidays.
