08-12-2018 12:00:00 08-12-2018 12:00:00 America/New_York Smokestack Brunch: Laurin Talese | 12:00 Pm Since earning her Bachelor of Music degree in jazz vocal performance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, singer/songwriter Laurin Talese has worked with such established artists as Jaguar Wright, Bilal, Robert Glasper, and Vivian Green; and has shared the stage with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Jazz Heritage Orchestra, and the internationally ac­claimed Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, Austria. This exceptional singer is also a passionate songwriter, her artistry defined by the union of her pure tone and poignant lyrics. In 2016, Laurin Talese partnered with GRAMMY Award–winning drummer Ulysses Owens Jr. and internationally acclaimed music director Adam Blackstone to create her debut album entitled Gorgeous Chaos.
