Audrey Silver Jazz Quintet
Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
Each time Audrey performs, she brings to the stage her love for the music and a hope that she can help her audience experience the same beauty, fascination, and delight in the music that she does.
With a “glimmering tone” (All About Jazz) that is “instantly engaging” (All About Vocals) and interpretations filled with honesty and depth, Audrey’s performances infuse freshness and new meaning to time-honored standards.
Her sets often include original songs that “stand on equal footing with Bill Evans’s 'Very Early'….and Sting’s … ‘Until’” (All About Jazz), and Audrey’s “lyric poetry is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell’s” (Jazz Sensibilities)
Audrey brings a consciousness of healing and joy to her singing that captivates her listeners. As jazz critic Dan Bilawsky observed, “Her voice is an open invitation, an instrument of confession and creation that immediately transports you to someplace else.”
Audrey wrote in the cover to her recent album:, Let Me Know Your Heart,“Whether a standard or an original work, all of the songs have become a part of me and touch my heart. And I perform them hoping that they will in some way touch yours.” And her greatest joy as a singer and songwriter is when folks at her performances feel that she did indeed touch their hearts.
