FIT Celebrates National Native American Heritage Month
The Social Justice Center at FIT and 4KINSHIP present a celebration highlighting Indigenous peoples’ individual relationships and cultures, and how they draw inspiration from traditional practices while producing work that authentically reflects the artists’ lived experiences. Together, panelists will explore new pathways for the future, including entrepreneurship, history, and the experiences of next-generation Indigenous creatives. This event is a powerful representation of the diverse voices and perspectives within the Indigenous community, highlighting the unique and innovative approaches designers and other creatives take in their work. The program will conclude with a Fireside Chat, featuring FIT President Joyce F. Brown in conversation with 4KINSHIP’s founder, Amy Denet Deal, and model and retail trailblazer Renee Hunter.
