If you are a fan of "The Godfather" you already know that the movie is celebrating it's 50th Birthday this year. And let's face it.  EVERYONE is a fan of this movie. One of the best casts to ever hit a screen, fabulous story line...and Little Italy. 

A movie just does not get better than that.

So to celebrate Little Italy is holding a Birthday Party, this weekend, Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th. And nowhere in New York will you find a better party then in Little Italy.  

Many of the shots in the movie came from ICONIC locations in Little Italy, including the infamous phone booth where James Caan made a fateful phone call. Where dinner was not the only thing on the menu.  Get a picture of you calling Mom. 

We're going to take you on a FREE tour of the sites in Little Italy at 2 and 4pm and make sure you don't miss a single thing.

Of course you don't come to Little Italy just for the sites you come for a great meal, and of course ALL the restaurants will be dishing up something fabulous with a "Godfather" theme, and specials just for the weekend.

There will be a guest appearance from a cast member (sorry we can't tell you who yet) and a few guests dressed up to entertain you. There will be live music, and even a dance floor so you can create a little more romance. 

Oh and hats,,,,,,,you HAVE to have a HAT.  How else can you tip something pretty that catches your eye.  Hats will be available benefiting the Little Italy Merchants Association, in lots of colors.

So, Little Italy is rolling out the red carpet for you this weekend, taking you on a tour, creating some romance, cooking up some GREAT food, all for a night to remember. 

AND leave room for some CANNOLI (the best in the City).
