Madison Avenue Lunar New Year Celebration
Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
Join Us on Saturday, February 1 on Madison Avenue for a Unique Celebration with the World's Finest Retailers to Ring in Lunar New Year
The 5th Annual Madison Avenue Lunar New Year event will kick-off on Saturday, February 1. The Madison Avenue Business Improvement District will celebrate the Year of the Rat with a centuries-old tradition by installing a wishing tree on Madison Avenue. Since ancient times, hanging wishes on trees for the New Year is synonymous with luck and good fortune, and is believed to encourage dreams to come true. Upon placing a red ribbon on the tree, each person will be given a “passport” that they can present to five participating businesses to qualify for their red envelope gift. No purchase required. Each red envelope will contain a gift and/or gift certificate from a participating retailer. One lucky winner shall receive a red envelope containing a $488 cash prize. Guests will enjoy warm hospitality at participating stores, including special programming, refreshments, personalized styling, cultural entertainment, special displays and exclusive special offers.
