Through soaring vocal textures and R&B/afrobeat-influenced rhythms, they create inspirational music that explore the cosmic soul; a journey to become one's best self. Lady Moon carries the essence of the Moon, delivering a message of love, peace, and light, while the musicians serve as the Sun shining light upon her. The audience represents the Earth, also known as the Star People of Earth, completing the metaphorical eclipse. With a marked emphasis on inclusivity and spiritual unity, Lady Moon & The Eclipse explore positive music through the live experience to grow and make a difference in themselves and in the world. Hardwork Movement Hip-hop group based out of West Philadelphia. Drawing comparisons to The Roots, the group is comprised of four MCs and a five piece live band. Their sound embodies a modern spin on old-school hip-hop with a flare of neo-soul and R&B. the group has played at Firefly Music Festival, opened for Talib Kweli and Method Man and Redman and sold-out all of their headlined shows in Philadelphia. Tacuma Bradley's Unity Band The Unity Band actively cultivates sonic experiments that fuze elements of Hip-Hop, Jazz, Funk and World music. Envisioned by Brooklyn native, Tacuma Bradley, the band seeks to render out good vibes and positive energy from anyone and anything within earshot. Using horns, drums, bass, keys, guitar and the human voice, they blend rhythm and sound to create a space of openness so we (all people) can communicate on another level. Where a hip shake, or head nod, are signs of immersion into that space. Where you can be yourself without hesitation. Where a smile can gain you access to all you need in this wondrous life. Leo Manzari Leo Manzari is a multi-faceted performing artist. Leo and his band use a unique mixture of Hip-Hop/Neo-Soul Music and tap dance, to tell Non-fictional as well as imaginary stories based on the realities we face today. Leo's previous works include invited special guest on The View with Whoopi Goldberg, Recurring Guest Star in Season 6 of HOMELAND, invited special guest on the season finale of So You Think You Can Dance, as well as co-starring with Maurice Hines on the Off-Broadway run of "Tappin' Thru Life." http://www.cityguideny.com/eventinfo.cfm?id=261697 Mercury Lounge Mercury Lounge
