The Purim Story: Esther Then & Now
In honor of Purim and Women's History Month, explore the heroine of the Purim story on Wednesday, March 12th at 6pm ET with the Museum at Eldridge Street's Scholar-in-Residence, Dr. Regina Stein.
We read the story of Esther and commemorate the victory of the Jews over their Persian enemies every year. But this story also presents religious and moral challenges. Join us as we grapple with some of the difficult questions posed by the Purim story.
Do you think Esther should be a model for contemporary Jewish women? Join us and discover more about this ancient text.
Please see the Zoom link in your order confirmation email. This program is entirely virtual.
