An Intercultural Conversation on Ara Güler, an expert panel discussing the work, life, and legacy of the world-renowned Turkish photographer, will be held on September 24th at 5pm at the Museum of the American Indian. The panel coincides with the opening of a new exhibit at the Alexander Hamilton Custom House, running from September 23rd through October 4th. Panelists will include: - John Bailey, former President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (2017-2019) - Christopher Mahoney, Senior Vice President of Phillips Photographs - Alexey Titarenko, photo artist - Cagla Sarac, Art Curator of Ara Güler Museum Organized by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the exhibit will focus on Mr. Guler’s photographs of Istanbul dating back to the 1950s, as well as his portraits of famous figures from Pablo Picasso to Salvador Dali. Disseminated by Mercury Public Affairs, a registered foreign agent, on behalf of The Embassy of Turkey.
