11 am - 5 pm - The art of beadwork is a long-standing tradition within Native communities. Come to the National Museum of the American Indian and meet Tessa Robledo (Comanche Nation/Kiowa Tribe), Katrina Mitten (Miami Tribe of Oklahoma), Julie Ayers (Tlingit & Nisga'a), and Courtney John (Chickasaw) as these Native women share their stories and culture and what beading means to them. Learn about their unique techniques and the variety of beads and materials they use to create beautiful accessories, décor, and more.
