Forest School with Upper Manhattan Forest Kids
THE NATURAL AREAS CONSERVANCY PRESENTS: Forest School with Upper Manhattan Forest Kids Led by instructors Sarita and Stephan of Upper Manhattan Forest Kids Sunday, July 21, from 9am - 12pm Join the Natural Areas Conservancy and Upper Manhattan Forest Kids for a family-oriented forest school class in Central Park's North Woods. This event aims to connect children and parents alike to the great outdoors that can be found in our city. Children will sing songs, engage in activities, and listen to stories in one of Manhattan's most scenic forests. Central Park's North Woods are home to waterfalls and rocky hills, leading into beautiful lakes and ponds that can be found further south in the park. There are abundant opportunities for nature watching and exploration. About this Event This event is for children 6 years old and under. It's free of charge and registration is required. We will hold three separate one-hour sessions — please only register for one session. In order to keep the parent-to-child ratio optimized for each session, we ask that a maximum of two parents per child attend. When registering, please register yourself and your child separately. Please note Parent or Child in the First Name box. An email will be sent out to registrants closer to the event with event details and clothing recommendations depending on the weather. We recommended bringing water and snacks. This event was made possible through support to the Natural Areas Conservancy from Con Edison. Read less
