After-Hours @ Olde Good Things: Salvaged Treasures from NYC Landmarks
While New York City has seen its fair share of historic buildings razed or gut-renovated, not all has been lost. For 30 years, one architectural antique dealer has salvaged and restored pieces from iconic locations such as the Flatiron Building, Waldorf Astoria, Plaza Hotel, and Brooklyn’s Grand Prospect Hall — bringing history, craftsmanship, and beauty to homes across the world. It's time to step inside their flagship showroom and uncover the incredible history and story behind their museum-grade collection.
Join New York Adventure Club for a private after-hours exploration of Olde Good Things, an architectural salvage company selling preserved and restored antiques — many of which come from some of New York's most historic hotels, venues, and more.
Led by the owners of Olde Good Things, this unique experience at their flagship showroom in Midtown West will include:
The history of Olde Good Things: how it grew from a small space at a flea market in Chelsea to becoming one of the largest architectural antique dealers in the country The process of salvaging architectural gems from historic properties, from working with demolition teams to remove the pieces to restoring or repurposing them at their Scranton, PA warehouse First-hand stories from some of their largest projects, including amassing hundreds of items from the Waldorf Astoria to recovering an 11-ft. chandelier from an art deco building in FiDi A guided tour through their West 52nd Street showroom to see some of their most historically significant pieces, ranging from furniture and light fixtures to statues and silverware Time afterward to roam around and find your own one-of-a-kind piece...with a discount in hand!
No experience at Olde Good Things is ever the same.
See you there!
