“Doubles” Film Screening: Experience Award-Winning Tale About Family, Identity and Trinbagonian Culture at Oyate Group
Join us at Oyate Group for a special screening of “Doubles”, the highly anticipated feature-length film by award-winning writer and director Ian Harnarine. Inspired by his 2011 short film, “Doubles with Slight Pepper”, this powerful film follows Dhani, a street vendor in Trinidad, as he struggles with familial abandonment and questions of cultural identity.
Rooted in the vibrant culture of Trinidad & Tobago, “Doubles” offers a poignant exploration of the immigrant experience, family bonds, and the ties that bridge borders.
The screening will include a brief introduction by Ian Harnarine, followed by a Q&A session where he will share his insights into the making of the film and his journey as a filmmaker.
