Petco Union Square Flagship Grand Opening Celebration
Petco celebrates the grand opening of its Union Square flagship at 44 Union Square, on the corner of 17th and Park, with a weekend full of free, pet-friendly activities highlighting New York City’s newest one-stop health and wellness destination for pets! The 25,000 square-foot, two-story pet care center features an elevated experience that combines the best of Petco’s physical and digital offerings, including a stylish grooming salon, comprehensive veterinary hospital, JustFoodForDogs kitchen, and curated merchandise assortment that brings Petco’s unique 360-degree pet care ecosystem to life. FREE Activities Open to the Public – Saturday, June 3 & Sunday, June 4 • Training Workshops: Participate in informative training workshops in the Reddy Dog Park. • Companion Animal Educational Sessions: Learn from Petco’s companion animal experts and meet a variety of small animals. • JustFoodForDogs Cooking Demos: See trained chefs in action preparing fresh, human-grade pet food. • Photo Opportunities: Enjoy plenty of adorable photo opportunities with Petco’s beloved Ruff & Mews mascots and other surprises! • Grand Opening Giveaways and Treat Sampling: Reward your pet with fun giveaways from Petco vendor booths and treat sampling including puppaccinos. • Petco Love Adoption Event: On Sunday, Petco Love will bring together more than 20 local rescue partners to host a mega-adoption event featuring hundreds of pets! • Custom Mural: To help raise awareness for Petco Love’s lifesaving work, local artist Andrea Cáceres will design a custom mural to be displayed at the event.
