Design and Placekeeping (Part 2 of 2)
Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
Placekeeping and placemaking are collaborative, creative, and hands-on processes centered on the care and maintenance of a place and its social fabric by community members. In this two-part workshop series, you will learn how to incorporate these principles into your garden and how to creatively tackle your design challenge with some practical guidelines that you can use with your group and the communities you serve. In Part 2, participants will learn from community gardeners about real-world garden design, learn useful communication techniques, review toolkits, and finalize their design project.
Venue: Phoenix Community Garden
Corner of Fulton and Somers Street
