Prince Street Gallery is pleased to announce “Canyons”, Susan Sussman’s second solo show at the gallery. Susan Sussman’s “Canyons” is on exhibition April 22 - May 17, 2025 and the Opening Reception is on Thursday, April 24, 2025 5-8 pm.
Sussman continues to paint the power and beauty of vast landscapes. Now, in place of her Wyoming surroundings, she paints from two apparently contrasting settings: the ancient slot canyons of the American Southwest and the modern built canyons of New York City. She finds surprising similarities between earth forms shaped over thousands of years and steel structures raised in recent decades. Solid walls holding sky – canyons.
