Do you have a family recipe that you would love to share? Queens Historical Society is hosting the Queens Cuisine Expo, and we would love for you to participate! Chosen presenters will share their story behind the dish to our museum audience.
Queens Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the culture of Queens through the ages and we need your help to share the things you love with your community. Submit your family recipes and tell us about them!
We want to know: What makes it special to your family? Do you have a historic dish from your family’s kitchen that’s important to you? Is there a part of your culture that you think more people should taste? Do you know how it came about? How is it important to your family? Where did the idea come from, or who made it? This is an opportunity for you to share! Feel free to bring an adopted recipe that is from TV, recipe book, blog, and etc, as long as you have made it your own!
We only have space for 8 people to share. Chosen recipes will have their chef talk a little about their dish at our potluck on June 13th. A successful recipe submission will not only be made with love but will also talk about how it connects cultures and generations!
