Celebrate the annual International Coastal Clean Up with the Randall’s Island Natural Areas team. We will be getting up close and personal with the island’s 4.5 miles of coastline and restored wetlands. Volunteers will help remove plastics and other marine debris as part of the Ocean Conservancy’s #Trashfreewaters campaign. We will document all the debris, contributing to the State of the Oceans report. Each piece of trash removed will help support the more than 130 species of birds and 15 species of fish that call the island home. After the project, our team will lead a salt marsh tour.
