Return of the Radiator Art Exhibition During NYC Design Week
Radiator is an exhibition of innovative and craft-focused designers and artists whose work encompasses furniture, lighting, and objects and is curated by Andrew Algier and Sara Schoenberger. The opening reception of this new exhibition will take place in the industrial Hatbox gallery space, one of Refinery Hotel’s beautiful spaces that nods to their history as a former hat factory and Prohibition-era tea room. With the boutique hotel being in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the venue is well positioned amongst the city’s top centers for design.
This year’s show will partner with a design gallery for the “Best In Show” award. It will feature emerging designers such as Andrew Jacobs, Anna Dawson, Christopher Merchant, Caroline Kable, Caroline Kepley, Iliad Design, Kate Greenberg, and notpaulsimon. Radiator will display vignettes from each designer and include a variety of home objects, ranging from prose-inscribed stone coffee tables to barbell-pierced metal mirrors. Many of the pieces shown are being exhibited publicly for the first time and will debut at this exhibition.
