Brodie Fresh: Still Dreaming Concert with Friends
Brodie Fresh live at S.O.B.’s! With Move Forward Music, Popular Stranger, and Social Misfit.
Born and raised in various places throughout New York, Brodie Fresh has had music surrounding him his entire life. His father was a pastor from Harlem and spent the second half of his life in Queens so would play artists from LL Cool J to Run DMC to KRS One around the house when Brodie was growing up. Being in church so often with his dad, it also exposed Brodie to soul and gospel music as well as live instruments. During his childhood, Brodie would play the drums both at his father’s church and at school. Through the hard times or good times, music was the constant in his life. He began writing to express himself and once he saw the connection between his words and people and that it could inspire others, he wanted to lock in. Brodie released his first song ever when he was 20 years old. He would play different records for friends and their support encouraged him to keep going. His life experiences, both the good and the bad, became the influence to his music and the stories he told through his art. His musical inspirations range from J Cole, to Jay Z to. Kendrick Lamar and more. But his biggest musical inspiration has always been his dad and with his passing, it’s made Brodie determined to succeed in the music industry.
In April of this year Brodie released his album A Kid From Elmont: Fosters Meadow Side A that had features from Jim Jones, Lihtz and more and in December 2022 he released his album Lost & Found that had an array of features as well from Conway The Machine to Kirko Bangz. Now living in Houston, TX, Brodie is about to release his new album on December 2nd titled Still Dreaming that’s decked with buzzing features, witty bars and magnetic beats. He describes his sound as rap music that tells a real story where you can hear the beauty and pain of situations throughout his life. Brodie is ready to claim his spot in the current rap space and tell his brutally honest story.
