Join us for a program of songs from the golden age of Arabic music in collaboration with vocalists Marwa Morgan and Mohamed Salah. The program will showcase popular and forgotten songs in a variety of styles from Egypt and the Levant.

Featuring: Ameer Armaly (Oud) Marwa Morgan (Vocals) Mohamed Salah Aly (Vocals) Zafer Tawil (Violin) Sarah Mueller (Violin) Gideon Forbes (Ney/Saxophone) Angie Assal (Percussion) Nezih Antakli (Percussion) Ola Galal (Choir) Nourah (Choir)

Born in South Carolina, Ameer Armaly was exposed to Arabic music from an early age through his uncle who played the oud. He then went on to study under Simon and Najib Shaheen. Ameer leads an Arabic music ensemble which performs regularly around the New York area, cultivating local talent and reviving the great Arabic songs of the twentieth century. Holding a PhD in computer science, Ameer currently works for Google, on making Android devices more accessible to the blind.
