Part circus, part catharsis, total chaos: Live After Death is an interactive comedy show about loss and grief.

Within the span of three years, comedian Ben Wasserman (MTV, VICE) lost his dad, grandad, uncle, and four friends. Through a blend of comedy, clowning, and crowd participation, Ben leads the audience on a hilarious yet moving journey through grief, honoring and celebrating the ones we've lost along the way. Throughout the show, he holds vulnerable conversations with audience members about their experiences with loss, their fears of death, and what we remain grateful for — all interspersed between high-concept bits. Ben enlists audience members to help him literally juggle the various traumas associated with loss, shows off his talent for ventriloquism by introducing the audience to "grief puppetry," holds a seance to help connect one lucky audience member with their own dearly departed loved one, and even dances with death himself! It's funny, it's vulnerable — and because so much of Live After Death centers on the audience's own experiences with loss and grief, no two shows are the same. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll wonder why a show like this hasn't been done before!

This month's show features an opening set by Julia Shiplett (Comedy Central) and will be raising funds for The Dinner Party (
