About the Event:
Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, led by Artistic Director Phil Nuzzo, celebrates Halloween with some of their own tricks and treats. Hear the skeletons dance in Saint-Saëns classic Dance Macabre. The devil gets his due in Tartini's fiendish Devil's Trill with Mialtin Zhezha, violin. Franz Liszt treats us to a pyrotechnic display in his Totentanz, where pianist Konstantin Soukhovetski handles this virtuoso tour de force. Metropolitan Opera Bass Mikhail Svetlov voices the Prince of Darkness and Grace Chorale of Brooklyn provides the Angelic Host in the powerful Prologue to Mefestofeles by Boito.
Children 5-12 are free. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
