Central City Chorus, directed by Bryan Zaros, is delighted to announce its first concert of the 2022-2023 Season “Vaughan Williams & Friends: A 150th Birthday Bash!”, a musical celebration featuring the music of Vaughan Williams on the occasion of his 150th birthday and music of his friends Herbert Howells, Gerald Finzi, Gustav Holst and George Butterworth.

Repertoire for the concert includes Finzi’s My sprit sang all day and God is gone up; Holst’s Lullay my liking and I love my love; Howells’ A spotless rose; selections from Butterworth’s Folksongs from Sussex; and Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music, Mass in G minor, O clap your hands, Greensleeves and Fantasia on Christmas Carols. Join us as we celebrate, with Vaughan Williams very own friends, a very special and musically filled 150th birthday tribute to Ralph Vaughan Williams!
