Angelica Women’s Chamber Choir, directed by Marie Caruso, presents “Vox Feminarum,” featuring works written by women composers dating from the 13th to the 21st centuries. Highlights include selections from the Codex Las Huelgas (13th c., Anon.); rarely heard works by Vittoria Aleotti, Hildegard von Bingen, Francesca Caccini, Maddelena Casulana, Sulpitia Cesis, and Barbara Strozzi; a premiere work by 18th-c. composer Maria Rosa Coccia; and contemporary works by Abbie Burt Betinis, Eleanor Daley, Julie Dolphin, Sarah Quartel, and more. Joining Angelica is guest artist Richard Kolb on lute and theorbo.
