Carlos Miguel Prieto returns to conduct NYO2—a group of outstanding young American instrumentalists with a "remarkable array of talent" (The New York Times). Under his baton, the group zips from Spanish music to Russian ballet music, performing selections from Falla's The Three-Cornered Hat and Stravinsky's Pétrouchka. Gabriela Montero joins the ensemble as a special guest, making her Carnegie Hall debut in a performance of her own Piano Concerto No. 1, "Latin."
