Renowned composer Sir Karl Jenkins will take the stage at Carnegie Hall to present the highly anticipated North American Premiere of his latest work, "One World." Presented by Distinguished Concerts International, New York (DCINY), this special concert will also feature a performance of Jenkins’ acclaimed work "Gloria" at the iconic Carnegie Hall offering audiences a profound musical experience.
Under the baton of esteemed conductor Maestro Jonathan Griffith, the concert promises to be an unforgettable evening of music that transcends boundaries and celebrates global unity. Elliott Forrest, host of WQXR Radio, will serve as the engaging host for the night, guiding the audience through the powerful themes of Jenkins’ compositions.
"One World" reflects Jenkins’ commitment to fostering understanding and harmony across cultures and combines a variety of musical influences that reflect the beauty of diversity. "Gloria", a staple of the contemporary choral repertoire, will showcase Jenkins' signature style, blending traditional and modern elements.
Performed by Penelope Shumate, Soprano, Claudia Chapa, Mezzo-Soprano, Daniel Rich, Baritone, the Distinguished Concerts Singers International, and the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra, the presentation embraces the power of music through art, inviting audiences to experience a transformative evening of Jenkins’ newest music alongside a beloved classic.
