Underground System Winter Residency
Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
Following up their busiest year to date supporting their 2018 LP ‘What Are You' Underground System will return home to their incubating Brooklyn roots, curating a three show residency at the brand new Bushwick hotspot The Sultan Room. The celebrated band is known for blending elements of Afrobeat, Latin, Dance Punk, and Electronic Music into a singularly original voice, and each residency night will serve to highlight one corner of their distinct musical palette. Each show will feature 2 live acts and a DJ in support of Underground System. On February 28, they treat audiences to a unique intersection of top NYC based global dance music purveyors Yasser Tejeda & Palotré, Nickodemus (LIVE), Underground System, and Eli Soul Clap (DJ). March 27 sees the disco balls lowering and lights dimming, highlighting the crews deep roots in the electronic music scene, with Conclave, Ensemble Entendu, Underground System and JKrIv (DJ). Closing the series April 25 with a lineup that exemplifies the kinetic live energy of Underground System in its purest form, Guerilla Toss, Gustaf, and Ria Bird (DJ) will join the band and all but guarantee the delivery of a blow out post-punk NYC rock show that would make even the most jaded of CBGB vets cry tears of joy.
