Songbook Summit: The Andersons Play Ellington
Saxophonists and clarinetists Peter & Will Anderson shine the spotlight on the life and music of the legendary pianist and composer Duke Ellington with historical narration, entertaining video presentation, and live performance by their six-piece ensemble featuring vocalist Molly Ryan and pianist Jeb Patton. The the most prolific American composer of all-time, Duke Ellington broke musical barriers of popular music and created a distinctive compositional style traveling with his jazz orchestra around the world for over fifty years. Songs will include "It Don't Mean a Thing If it Ain't Got That Swing," "Mood Indigo," "Caravan," "In My Solitude," and "Satin Doll."
