Arthur Sadowsky is the music director and bandleader for the relatively well known NYC jazz band Arthur Sadowsky & The Troubadours. The band has performed at some of the most well-known jazz clubs locally in the U.S. (The Iridium, The Blue Note, The 55 Bar, House of Blues, B.B. King Blues, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, The Zinc Bar, NUBLU Classic, etc) and internationally (in Canada and Europe). Here is what the critics have to say about Sadowsky's music: "Jazz fans are in for a treat when Arthur Sadowsky & The Troubadours play their very special brand of modern jazz and world music. The band is performing Arthur's original music and arrangements mixed with a very special focus on John Coltrane's and Miles Davis' compositions and his signature interpretations of all-time jazz classics. "Every member of the band is a virtuoso musician who represents the 'cream of the crop' of today's jazz scene in New York," stated Arthur Sadowsky in an email to the DownBeat Magazine. "The band focuses on Coltrane's signature interpretation of jazz classics like 'My Favorite Things', and are very careful to reproduce his famous 1961 arrangement and the way he used to play the melody, yet manage to mix it with today's sounds, rhythms, and harmonies," he continued. "The master goal is to keep all generations of jazz lovers happy and musically pleased and yet sound 100 percent contemporary and unique and fresh. You will love it!"
