Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
View Website |
Learn more about the Jewish celebration Hanukkah! Join New York Historical Society Living History coordinator Cheyney McKnight as she goes back in time to 1916 to chat with 14-year old Victoria Confino, as portrayed by Grace McGookey from the Tenement Museum. Victoria and her family were Sephardic Jews that recently immigrated to New York City. Together, we will explore Hanukkah’s origins and history and how people observe the holiday in New York City and across America. Then, celebrate with a Festival of Lights activity!
