Since 2009, the T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run in Brooklyn has become New York City's largest ovarian cancer Walk/Run. This event always takes place during September, which is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.The T.E.A.L.® Walk is a 2.5 mile non-competitive walk.The T.E.A.L.® Run is timed 5K. The T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run is an event that celebrates the courage of ovarian cancer survivors and the strength of the families who’ve been touched by the disease, while spreading awareness to the general public and raising money for research. Thousands of people participate in this event every year. There are exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy including live entertainment, shopping, prizes and educational booths.
