Slate Presents: October Surprise
Get off your couch and join Slate and special guests on Wednesday, October 16th for an evening of politics and partying!
We’re counting down to election night with Slate’s best political minds as they break down this incredibly Not Normal™ election cycle. This event will feature live tapings of your favorite Slate podcasts, including What Next and the newest season of Slow Burn, “The Rise of Fox News.” It will also feature special guests, plus Slate political reporters and editors.
We’ll kick things off with two special live tapings: Our daily news podcast What Next with host Mary Harris will be chatting about the latest news in this bonkers election, and Josh Levin, host of Slow Burn: The Rise of Fox News will dig into how the cable news channel became such a cultural and political force. We’ll close the night with our very own October Surprise…aka a lively game of political trivia hosted by Slate reporters. And stay tuned for more special programming and guests to be announced very soon!
For a limited number of fans, we will also host a pre-show cocktail hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Those who purchase the VIP ticket package will receive complimentary drinks and lite bites with your favorite Slatesters beforehand.
Doors open at 6:30pm and programming starts at 7:00pm.
If you are a Slate Plus member, you will receive a discount. Use the discount code listed in your Slate Plus account.
