LDB brandishes a powerful brass frontline of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, with a funky backline of drums and sousaphone. Self-produced contemporary R&B/funk artist Shareef Keyes with a flair for spellbinding melody and infectious live performances. From his recording studio in Downtown Brooklyn, NY, Keyes draws inspiration from the likes of Janelle Monáe, James Brown and Raphael Saadiq to produce rhythms that get us out of our seats and on to the floor. Birthed in Southeast DC, Black Alley is known for pushing the art of music to its rhythmic limits. Determined to create a unique musical elixir, Black Alley takes the finest ingredients of hip-hop, soul, and rock to create their own genre-bending sound called #HoodRock.
