Founded somewhere around 2013 by former members of Stumblebum Brass Band & The World/Inferno Friendship Society, Sunnyside Social Club started off busking on the streets in Sunnyside Queens. A mix of jazz, Latin, second-line brass band music with a punk rock edge, they can be found at venues & events all over the tri-state area causing a ruckus and inspiring frantic dance parties. Armed with his megaphone and wailing trumpet, our fearless leader, Smidge Malone has been referred to as a "Punk Rock Louis Armstrong"; Accompanied by accordions, tubas, and whatever other weird and/or unique instrumentation is down to clown on that day.
