NEW YORK SCHOOL OF THE ARTS is pleased to announce an opening reception for the (IN)TENSIVE exhibition at the New York School of the Arts. The evening will feature a selection of works by our Arts Intensive participants in all of our galleries and open studios of our Arts Intensive and HUB members. This is an invitation to the public to see the works and studios of the Arts Intensive participants and our community's artistic, creative energy. The Arts Intensive program at the New York School of the Arts is a dynamic one-year, two-year, or three-year course of study that provides a supportive environment to develop each participant's artistic practice. This exhibition highlights selected works of our participants from the 2022/2023 program. "There is so much behind the variety of these works in their different media and expressions, such as research and critical studies, conceptual thinking, and working together as a team, where debate and exchange favor unexpected results. These achievements are the strength and the joy of this program," said Executive Director Maurizio Pellegrin. New York School of the Arts is a living, learning community dedicated to exploring art in 360 degrees. On the 6th floor, our HUB Center for the Arts holds dedicated studio space for the Arts Intensive Program and 12 personal studios for The HUB Lab Members. Devoted to contemporary artistic practices, students, faculty, and art professionals use these spaces to create relevant visions about art in the world of tomorrow. Located in a 1915 industrial loft building on 62nd Street, New York School of the Arts is a dynamic and innovative school and arts center based on learning the heritage of the classic discipline while addressing and incorporating the exploration of new media. "It is the synthesis of what artists are looking for, a unique school on a small scale, with a sense of community and a structure that allows for dialogue with the other institutions in the city. It has been created to fulfill the expectations of the transformed contemporary art world," said Pellegrin. New York School of the Arts offers at any level a broad spectrum of classes, workshops, and programs across multiple fine arts disciplines. We foster creative learning through the atelier methodology, critical and conceptual instruction, and demonstrations by professional artists.
