Labor and Love
ART ON THE AVE NYC PRESENTS "LABOR AND LOVE" A Black History Month Exhibit at The NY Supreme Court Rotunda The New York State Supreme Courthouse, located at 60 Centre Street, has opened its Black History Month exhibit, featuring works from artists in the Art on the Ave NYC roster. Until February 28, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public can view and interact with the artwork of 15 New York City artists honoring black history
Titled "Labor and Love," this show depicts immeasurable examples of the labor and service that African-Americans have demonstrated over the years building this nation. From Shanequa Benitez's "We Can Dance Too" ballerinas to depictions of artists, legislators, barbers, construction workers, paperboys, and police officers, every work installed in the Courthouse Rotunda is a vibrant celebration of black excellence.
