Paley Center’s Salute to Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month
The Paley Center for Media has announced its month-long celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. The celebration, running from May 3 to May 31, aims to highlight the diverse contributions of AAPI individuals to the media and entertainment industry and their impact on American culture. Screenings will be held at Paley's Goodson Theater, featuring shows like "Heritage Heroes" by The Asian American Foundation, "38 at the Garden" about Jeremy Lin's basketball prowess, and the premiere episode of the Netflix series "BEEF" starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. Families can also enjoy a curated selection of popular anime and scripted shows including "Avatar: The Last Airbender," "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan," "Samurai Jack," and "The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo," all representing the AAPI community.
