07-10-2018 12:00:00 08-10-2018 12:00:00 America/New_York Works & Process at the Guggenheim Presents American Ballet Theatre: Jessica Lang & Sarah Crowner Sunday and Monday, October 7 and 8, 2018 at 7:30pm Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents American Ballet Theatre: Jessica Lang & Sarah Crowner on Sunday and Monday, October 7 and 8, 2018 at 7:30pm.   Since 1940, American Ballet Theatre has been a home for emerging choreographers and artists. This season, as part of the ABT Women's Movement initiative, choreographer Jessica Lang collaborates with artist Sarah Crowner, whose work is included in the Guggenheim's permanent collection, for Lang's third work for the company. Join Lang and Crowner, moderator John Meehan, and dancers from American Ballet Theatre for an intimate evening of dance and discussion prior to the ballet's premiere. The ABT Studio Company will also perform Le Jeune by Lauren Lovette.   Dancers: Sklyar Brandt, Blaine Hoven, Christine Shevchenko, Stephanie Williams, Joo Won Ahn (10/7) Sklyar Brandt, Blaine Hoven, Christine Shevchenko, Stella Abrera, Joo Won Ahn (10/8) Musicians: Emily Wong, Scott Ballantyne and Robin Zeh   See Sarah Crowner's Installation Audience members are invited to experience Sarah Crowner's site-specific installation inside The Wright restaurant at the Guggenheim, featuring handmade terracotta tiles installed on the floor and two walls of the restaurant, and a backdrop made of raw and painted canvas cut, arranged, and sewn together.
