In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Roots of the Spirit in partnership with The Studio at Athleta Flatiron is pleased to present a moment of radical self-care fundraising event. Shamair Courage,​ of LoveWorks365, ​noted meditation practitioner, will lead a session of peaceful meditation giving an In-Spirit experience for the Roots of the Spirit Healing & Joy Retreat for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color.

We invite you to join us as we raise funds for our retreat ensuring access for all women interested in this 4-day healing experience. We've created a safe space for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color to deepen their connection to the earth and our ancestors, embrace radical self-love and compassion, reconnect with our inner wisdom + power, rest, recharge, and experience joy in Roxbury, New York June 23-26 in the heart of the majestic Catskill Mountains.

We launched a scholarship fundraiser to support our ability to offer scholarships to those who would otherwise be unable to attend. Access is extremely important in this instance, and in all our work. Your participation in the meditation session helps support the scholarship program for BIPOC women to embark on this healing journey.

A native of Brooklyn, Shamair Courage is a Certified Meditation Guide and yoga instructor, as well as a Children’s Media, and Holistic Wellness Entrepreneur. She passionately promotes happy and healthy living and is an avid children’s advocate. Shamair has been practicing meditation for over a decade illuminating its power to nurture, heal and empower the mind, body and emotions.

By attending this Meditation Session, you are directly supporting scholarships for Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color to attend the Roots of the Spirit Healing & Joy Retreat.
