21-04-2017 12:00:00 21-04-2017 12:00:00 America/New_York Loretta Lynn | 8 PM Loretta first arrived in Nashville 55 years ago. A self-taught guitarist and songwriter, Lynn became one of the most distinctive performers in Nashville in the 1960s and 1970s, shaking things up by writing her own songs, many of which tackled boundary-pushing topics drawn from her own life experiences as a wife and mother. Now, she's touring in support of her March 2016 release, Full Circle, her first new studio album in over ten years. Produced by Patsy Lynn Russell and John Carter Cash, and recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee, Full Circle takes listeners on a journey through Loretta's musical story, from the Appalachian folk songs and gospel music she learned as a child, to new interpretations of her classic hits and country standards, to songs newly-written for the project. Join us for a pre-show line dancing lesson starting at 6:45 pm brought to you by Line Dancing With Lynn! Opening band: Gathering Time. Gathering Time will also be playing in our Goldsmith Atrium after the show, so make sure you swing by and have a post-show drink and listen to the band! http://www.cityguideny.com/eventinfo.cfm?id=224394 Tilles Center Tilles Center
