Covering The Silicon Valley Bank Crisis With Forbes, Axios, & TechCrunch
On Wednesday, March 8th, Silicon Valley Bank announced that it would take a nearly $2 billion loss as it liquidated assets to cover deposit withdrawals. Less than 48 hours later, the bank failed, sending thousands of companies who rely on it into a panic to make payroll and stay solvent.
The reporters who covered this crisis lost quite a bit of sleep as well, working through the weekend and at all hours to relay developments and suss out stories.
In this panel, we'll speak with three reporters who found themselves in the middle of the SVB saga:
Alex Konrad, Senior Editor at Forbes Kia Kokalitcheva, Silicon Valley & Tech Reporter at Axios Natasha Mascarenhas, Senior Tech Reporter at TechCrunch
As usual, this will be a 45-minute virtual panel on Zoom followed by a 15-minute audience Q&A, conducted via chat. We hope you can make it and we look forward to seeing everyone!
