Alvin Ailey Dance Class: Vogue Basics for Teens
Vogue Basics is perfect for teens looking to begin their vogue journey and get down to the basics. The instructor will break down the elements of vogue to allow participants to perfect their technique at a slow and easy-to-follow pace. As a significant element of Ballroom culture, voguing is as much about competition and besting a rival as it is about self-expression, identity formation, and building chosen families.
Showcase your voguing skills the following week at the All About Ailey Ball, a celebration of the life and legacy of Alvin Ailey. That event takes place on Friday, October 25, from 4:30–8:30 pm in the Floor 3 Theater.
