A virtual film screening and Q&A in honor of National Foster Care Month and National Mental Awareness Month.

The Foster Care Film and Community Engagement Project (FCFCEP) and The Fostering Connection, invite you to join us on May 23, 2022 at 7 p.m. EST for a special free virtual screening of “Feeling Wanted,” “My Identity,” and “Family Rewritten,” three award-winning documentary short films which highlight the stories of youth growing up in the foster care system.

Following the film screening film director, Yasmin Mistry, will host a moderated discussion with film subject and foster care alumni, Charell Star, on how to best support the physical, emotional and mental health needs of youth in the child welfare system.

Registration is required. A Zoom link will be emailed to all registrants prior to the start of the event.

This screening is part of a National Foster Care Month and National Mental Health Awareness Month virtual film tour. To check out our full schedule of events visit
