Get your hands dirty and bask in the power of plants during Sunwink's latest virtual event, an Indoor Gardening Session led by Black, queer, non-binary femme, plant expert, collector, and community builder, Christopher Griffin, better known as Plant Kween. Join us as the Kween guides us through a propagation demonstration, planting tips & tricks, and speaks on the importance of greening up your space for better mental and physical health all while using supplies from Horti and enjoying Sunwink's herbal tonics to boost mood and unwind.

All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, an organization that works to protect the human rights of Black transgender people.

This event will be hosted on Zoom on Saturday, June 27th at 12PM PST/3PM EST. Links to join the meeting will be shared via email the day of the 27th.

What You'll Need:

+ An Unpotted Plant (big or small)

+ A Pot or Vessel of Your Choice

+ Some Additional Soil

Note: you can purchase materials from Horti's website (estimated shipping time is 2-3 business days). After you purchase your ticket we will share a $5 discount code from Horti.

About Sunwink

Sunwink is the first-ever sparking herbal tonic beverage brand made of the world’s cleanest herbs that are good for your body and the planet. Sunwink is founded by women, crafted by herbalists, and made to nourish and re-energize through the power of plants. Every sip is made with whole plants, is vegan, non-GMO, and has no added flavors. Designed to make an impact, 2% of all revenue is donated to different organizations that give back to people and support mother earth.

About Plant Kween

Christopher (he/she/they) is a plant parent and enthusiast, better known as Plant Kween. They share their botanical adventures to plant shops and botanical gardens via social media, as a personal method of self-care, joy-sharing and community building. Their mission is to continue to build a diverse online + offline community of plant-loving people; create greater visibility as a Black queer non-binary femme existing in green spaces, and just share the joy and happiness plants have brought into their life.

About Horti

Horti is a plant subscription service for people who want to create and care for indoor gardens. Founded to spread the love of plants and bring habit-forming solutions through clever designs, each month Horti sends customers hardy plants along with tools & manageable care instructions to keep their plants healthy & build their confidence in plant care. Horti was created to address the problem of people buying plants for their aesthetic value, without any knowledge or guidance in how to care for them. Those plants would inevitably die, along with their owner’s confidence in planting. Horti is building a community of gardeners who aspire to cultivate cleaner, happier lives.

We hope to see you (virtually) soon!
