This holiday season, The Penny is combining its love of four-legged friends and fine arts to present a “Paw-some Holiday Brunch” series every Saturday and Sunday in December. The property has always been all about pets – both the boutique hotel and its eleventh-floor rooftop restaurant and bar, elNico, are named after Penny (a chihuahua) and Nico (a corgi).

From 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on weekends, elNico will host pet portrait sessions during brunch, featuring illustrator Jordan Sondler. On a first come, first serve basis, guests will be treated to complimentary portraits of their pets, all while indulging in Chef Fer Serrano’s festive brunch fare, which includes delicious dishes like Pancakes with homemade cajeta and nata and Chilaquiles with salsa verde, queso fresco, creme fraiche, white onion, and a scrambled or sunny side egg.
