Mark Morris Dance Group at Brooklyn Bridge Park
Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) returns to Brooklyn Park Bridge, with two showings of a special, outdoor performance and an all-ages family-friendly workshop at Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn on Saturday, October 1.
Performances will take place at 2pm and 4pm, with the workshop held in between at 3pm.
The repertoire for both performances will include: Water, Greek To Me, Orfeo ed Euridice (excerpts from a larger Opera), and Dancing Honeymoon (excerpts)
During the Dance with MMDG workshop, members of the Mark Morris Dance Group will teach excerpts from Water and Dancing Honeymoon. The adaptive dance workshop is open to everyone and does not require any previous dance experience. It will include a teaching artist demonstrating from a seated position to welcome all levels of mobility to experience this class. The lawn is ADA accessible via the promenade around the pier. Both performances and the workshop are free and walk up only. No advance registration required.
